Global Fatty Liver Day 2025: Making Global Impact Through Grassroots Action in Azhi Bisa Niger State

History was made yesterday in Azhi Bisa, Garam (Tafa LGA, Niger State, Nigeria) as we proudly joined the world to commemorate #GlobalFattyLiverDay2025 with a powerful grassroots outreach event.

With over 200 participants — including children, youth, and women — the event was a success and featured the following key activities:
1️⃣ Community Health Walk & Exercise
2️⃣ Health Talk on Fatty Liver Disease Awareness & Prevention
3️⃣Free Liver Function & Hepatitis B Screening for 200 people
4️⃣ Refreshments & Community Entertainment
Our goal was clear: to raise awareness, promote early detection, and empower the community with knowledge and tools to fight Fatty Liver Disease.
🙏🏽 A heartfelt thank you to our lead partner and sponsor, the Global Liver Institute (Global Liver Institute ), whose funding and support made this life-changing event possible. Your commitment to liver health and community wellness continues to inspire us.
✅ We’re also putting follow-up measures in place for individuals who may have tested positive — because awareness must be followed by action.
Together, we’re making global relevance felt through local impact.
